Journal Description

The Innovative Engineering and Sustainability Journal (IESJ) was established with the strong spirit of collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Indonesia, and the School of Engineering, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Thailand, on 14 September 2021.

The Innovative Engineering and Sustainability Journal aims at promoting research and innovation on applied engineering, sustainable technology, and environmental sustainability that promote sustainable development in Southeast Asian countries. This journal serves as one of the outlets for the research and innovation of these fields.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, innovative theories and applications in civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, water resources engineering, environmental engineering, biomedical engineering, instrumentation engineering, urban engineering, cross-cutting issues of technology and sustainability, with the focus area are particularly in Southeast Asia and Asia.

The Journal adopts a peer-review process and upholds the liberty of academic principles, academic and scientific ethics, as well as publishing ethics. The Journal does have zero tolerance for plagiarism.

This is an open-access and peer-review journal that applies no article processing charge. The journal publishes the selected articles in English two times a year in June and December.

Dear Researchers/Authors/Readers,

Innovative Engineering and Sustainability Journal invites you to submit your manuscript within the scope of this journal i.e. engineering and sustainability (for more detail please visit Focus and Scope of the Journal). This is a new peer-reviewed journal and is yet to be indexed by any prestigious database system. The submission is free of charge, and always accessible to everyone since we dedicated this journal to advancing science, engineering, and technology in Southeast Asia.

The journal publishes 2 issues a year: January-June (Issue 1) and July-December (Issue 2). The review process takes normally 3 to 6 weeks. Submission can be made anytime.

eISSN update

04/18/2022

We are pleased to announce that Innovative Engineering and Sustainability Journal (iESJ) has now acquired the e-ISSN. Our e-ISSN is 2829-3010.

Our next projected milestones are getting Asean Citation Index in December 2023, and indexed by Web of Science (Web of Knowledge) in December 2024, and getting pre-evaluation by Scopus in December 2026. We also eager to apply for the indexing by national indexing system in Thailand i.e. Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI) in June 2023, and Science and Technology Index of Indonesia (SINTA) in December 2024.

Depending on the length of the process, the above milestones are expected to be in later date.

eISSN

Application of eISSN has been submitted.

Today, April 11, 2022, the Application for having eISSN has been resubmitted. We are poised to get eISSN for providing a strong foundation for the IES Journal establishment.

Please submit your relevant works to this international journal. NO article processing charge (APC) will be applied, as our journal is dedicated to promote research in engineering and science in the region.

A journal has born, and we are now accepting the article submission

Under the umbrella of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Rector of the Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta (UNS), Indonesia, and the President of the King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Bangkok Thailand, in 2020, the Innovative Engineering and Sustainability Journal has been founded. The Journal was officially born on September 14, 2021, with the primary goal to promote collaboration in research, publication, and education.

The Journal is now open for article submission. Please check relevant information of the journal at http://iesj.ft.uns.ac.id.
